The Limen realm a sort of area formed partly by the collective subconsciousness of those who find themselves there and from another dimensional plane altogether.
It is the place many go to when reality wears thin. It is beyond, below, behind and intertwined. The Limen is a world distinctive from our own. Itโs an nearly never-ending closed space filled with ever shifting set-pieces, Towns from decades past, fantastical forests and nightmarish mazes.
The realm has advanced thousands of years in the future. Faster-than-light travel has been developed, and sentient species have colonized a vast number of worlds within the infinite Limen. However, a great reaction against computers has resulted in a ban on any kind of "thinking machine", with the creation or possession of such punishable by immediate death. Despite this prohibition, humanity continues to develop and advance other branches of technology, including extrasensory perception (ESP) and instruments of war. At the time of the setting, humanity has formed a feudal interstellar empire known as the Empire, run by multiple Great Houses that oversee various planets.
