A company called Skaianet dumps toxic chemicals from its factories worldwide. It was found that those close to the dump sites developed severe mutations over time. These mutations were sometimes heritable. And thus, the first generations of mutant children were born.
These children were not like those of the past. Their genes were so mutated, they developed abilities.
It was around this time that a greater evil arose in the world. Lord English and his group called The Felt took the world by storm as they seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Now the world had something to fight against more than ever. Hero recruiting became a noble cause, and becoming a hero an even nobler deed.
We begin in the year 20XX in the city of Suburbia. Will you be a hero, a vigilante, a sidekick, a villain, or even a civilian?
